The systems are designed to be quick and easy to use, with drop-down selections, tick boxes and calendars for entering dates. Key information is highlighted in red and validated at entry time to ensure patient information is kept as accurate and complete as possible.

PMAS Breast is for surgeons specialising in the management of breast
cancer.

Typical data collected for each patient with breast cancer is:
- Personal: name, hospital number, NHS number, demographics, date of birth, sex, GP etc
- Admission: referral details, pregnancies, children & whether breastfed, on the pill, HRT or had a hysterectomy, clinical symptoms, nodes affected, results of investigations and histories of medical disease, breast disease and relatives affected
- Surgery: hospital, surgeon, surgeon grade, anaesthetist, assistants, procedures and any surgical risk factors
- 30 day audit: all surgical complications, readmission, number of days in hospital, date discharged or details and date of post-operative death
- Pathology: results of investigations, histology, metastatic spread, TNM staging pre and post-operative, post-surgery treatments
- P-Possum: pre-operative and operative values and score
- Follow-up: for each follow-up visit: date, evidence of recurrence, second primary, readmission, further surgery and type of treatments, details of death with date
PMAS Breast includes the standard range of reports and audits as well
as:
- Surgical audit for a selected date range, analyse any surgical condition or complication
