The systems are designed to be quick and easy to use, with drop-down selections, tick boxes and calendars for entering dates. Key information is highlighted in red and validated at entry time to ensure patient information is kept as accurate and complete as possible.

PMAS Colorectal & UGI is for a team of surgeons specialising in the
management of both upper GI and bowel cancer.

The data collected for each patient with bowel cancer is as detailed
on the PMAS Colorectal screen. Typical additional data collected for
each patient with upper GI is:
- Admission : pre-treatment staging, pre-operative treatment, histology, palliative stent placement, laparoscopic results, endoscopy with any related complications etc
- Surgery : suture type, tumour orientation, prophylaxis etc
- 30 day audit : upper GI specific non-surgical and surgical complications
- Pathology : UICC oesophageal & gastric, assessment resection
- Follow-up : for each follow-up visit: further surgery, additional primary & histology
Users enter data into PMAS Colorectal & Upper GI through a series of tailored,
easy-to-use screens reflecting patient progress from first referral to
on-going follow-ups. On-screen checks ensure key information is included
and valid.
PMAS Colorectal & UGI includes the standard range of reports and audits as well as:
- UGI assessment for a selected date range, find all patients matching specific UGI referral & assessment conditions
- Laparoscopic for a selected date range, find all patients who had laparoscopic surgery with any combination of laparoscopic conditions
- Cancer Registry for each selected patient, display, print or export the specific colorectal information required for Cancer Registry and government waiting times reporting
- RCS dataset for each selected patient, display, print or export the RCS minimum dataset
- ACPGBI datasets for each selected patient, display, print or export the specific colorectal information required by the ACPGBI minimum datasets version 2 and 3
- AUGIS dataset for each selected patient, display, print or export the AUGIS minimum dataset
